Electrical conductivity of strongly magnetized dense quark matter - possibility of quantum Hall effect

چکیده

We have pointed out the possibilities of quantum Hall effect (QHE) and Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillation in transportation strongly magnetized degenerate quark matter- expected inside highly dense compact star, such as neutron star. The anisotropic pattern electrical conductivity resistivity tensor is explored classical to cases by considering Landau quantization quarks presence a finite magnetic field. With increasing field, transitions are realized through enhanced (reduced) (conductivity) with QHE/SdH type oscillatory patterns. Estimating QCD relaxation time for matter from Ref. [57], eB≈(1−4)mπ2 can be considered strong field massless chemical potential μ≈0.2−0.4 GeV. discovered exotic oscillating patterns associated QHE SdH phenomena within mentioned regimes.

Multi fluidity and Solitary wave stability in cold quark matter: core of dense astrophysical objects

Considering the magneto-hydrodynamic equations in a non-relativistic multi uid framework, we study the behavior of small amplitude perturbations in cold quark matter. Magneto-hydrodynamic equations, along with a suitable equation of state for the cold quark matter, are expanded using the reductive perturbation method. It is shown that in small amplitude approximation, such a medium should be co...

Activated conductivity in the quantum Hall effect.

Activated dissipative conductivity ¢==o-*~exp(-A/T) and the activated deviation of the Hall conductivity from the precise quanfizafion &r~v=~i e2 /h f~exp ( -A /T ) are studied in a plateau range of the quantum Hall effect. The prefactors cr*~ and o*~ are calculated for the case of a long-range random potential in the fxa~ework of a classical theory. There is a range of temperatures Tx << T<< T...

Illuminating dense quark matter.

We imagine shining light on a lump of cold dense quark matter, in the color-flavor locked phase and therefore a transparent insulator. We calculate the angles of reflection and refraction, and the intensity of the reflected and refracted light. Although the only potentially observable context for this phenomenon (reflection of light from and refraction of light through an illuminated quark star...

Neutral Dense Quark Matter

The ground state of dense up and down quark matter under local and global charge neutrality conditions with β-equilibrium has at least four possibilities: normal, regular 2SC, gapless 2SC phases, and mixed phase composed of 2SC phase and normal components. The discussion is focused on the unusual properties of gapless 2SC phase at zero as well as at finite temperature.

Universal prefactor of activated conductivity in the quantum Hall effect.

The prefactor of the activated dissipative conductivity in a plateau range of the quantum Hall effect is studied in the case of a long-range random potential. It is shown that due to long time it takes for an electron to drift along the perimeter of a large percolation cluster, phonons are able to maintain quasiequilibrium inside the cluster. The saddle points separating such clusters may then ...
